OK kids...here's my thoughts on the whole reunion thingie.....it was FREAKIN' great!
I am so happy to have been asked to help out with it. It was both fun and frustrating at times, but I wouldn't have passed up the opportunity for the world.
These types of events are an important milestone in our lives.
They not only connect us to our past, but remind us of the true meaning of the word friend.
They remind us just how wonderful it is to have lived in a time where friends from so many years ago, can still remain friends today.
They remind us just how fortunate it is to have friends, that with so many years and miles separating one another, can pick up where they left off
and continue on like it was only yesterday.
Also heard from Stan K. and told him what a hit his video was. Perhaps, now he will think differently about joining us at some time.
I Was concerned about Kim S., Bonnie B and Ginny A. getting home, but so far everyone got out of NY state OK.
I haven't heard from Joann K., but am assuming she is back home by now, at least I hope so.
I would like to know who invited Irene in the first place. Leave her off the list next time.
Thanks to you all...Kathleen, Denny, Sue, Liz, Callie, John, Nancy, Mike, Donna and my friend Tom to whom I will never, ever forget again, I promise.
And to my old friend, Dave A. who we missed seeing there and to Bill Goodwin for his tireless efforts at finding the so called lost souls.
Thanks again to you all for pulling together to make this 50th a most memorable 3 day weekend.
So, if and when we get to do this again, keep me in mind. I'll be there ready, willing and able(I can only hope).
HI, I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU AND THE COMMITTEE DID THE PAST WEEKEND...SORRY WE WERE UNABLE TO
ATTEND THE CLAMBAKE...WE WENT FOR THE TOUR OF THE SCHOOL AND OF COURSE BUD WAS CALLED HOME.. IT WAS SO NICE TO SEE
EVERYONE AND WAS HOPING AT THE CLAMBAKE TO SEE SOME THAT DID NOT GO ON FRI...AGAIN GREAT JOB.
SUE ST GEORGE
I want to thank you again for all the work that you and "your team" did to plan and organize and "pull off" one of the loveliest
and most memorable weekends I have experienced!!!! Everything was perfect: the location, the accommodations, the entertainment,
the decorations - everything. Please - if you don't mind - forward this note along to everyone who helped you in your effort.
I am SO sorry that I didn't get a chance to say cheerio to you all before I left. I literally made a split second decision to
leave around 6:00pm when I heard that the governor of CT had closed all the roads and highways in and around the city of Stamford
where I live. I realized there was going to be little chance for me to make it home on Sunday - I feared heavy rain, high winds,
downed trees and the bridges of the Hudson River being closed. So I made a run for it.
I made it to Albany with no problem at all - dark and scary skies but no wind or rain. Then, when I headed south toward NYC it
started to rain but not heavily. It never really started to get bad until I reached Stamford, CT about 90 minutes ago. Swaying
traffic lights and very heavy rain greeted me!
I was mighty happy to pull my car into the garage and close the door. I gave the steering wheel of my Subaru Forester a BIG huge kiss.
The very best car I have ever driven.
Thank you again . . . Thank you, thank you, thank you

Our grandchildren (all 5) are the best thing that ever happened to us. One of my daughters commented when I apparently wasn't paying
enough attention to her "That's all right Mom I'm just the bag they came in!"

How funny - that one of the favors at the 50th h.s. reunion - was a magnifying glass! I just used it on some tiny print. Timely.
